Wig cleaning method
1. Before cleaning the wig, stand it up and gently comb it with a wide (sparse) wooden comb (anti static). Try to avoid using plastic or steel combs as they can generate excessive static electricity, which can cause hair to knot and hang off.
2. Then soak the wig in warm water (preferably around 20 degrees Celsius, not exceeding 25 degrees Celsius) for 5-10 minutes. The time should not be too long, avoid prolonged soaking, and avoid using high-temperature hot water for cleaning. Overheating the water temperature can easily damage the original curvature and shape of hair, leading to hair detachment and reducing the lifespan of wigs. After all, the hair material for high-end wigs is real human hair, not inferior synthetic wigs such as high-temperature silk.
3. Then add an appropriate amount of shampoo to the water (if there is a high-end wig washing solution, it is better), and clean it by pressing. Note: wash by hand, never use a washing machine; Do not rub the wig with force.
4. After cleaning by pressing, replace with water and rinse thoroughly with water; Then add conditioner to the water, soak the wig for about 10 minutes, and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
5. Then use a soft and dry towel to gently press the wig dry. Note: Do not twist it by hand or dry it with a washing machine.
6. Then place the washed wig on a wig holder and place it in a well ventilated area indoors to allow the wig to dry naturally and avoid direct sunlight; When the wig is dry to 90%, gently comb it with a wooden comb.
